There are a lot of scams floating around these days and a lot take the form of emails. i received one today stating:

“Dear Amazon Customer ,This is your final warning about the safety of your Amazon account. If you do not update your billing informations your access on Amazon features will be restricted and the user deleted. This might be due to either following reasons:             – A recent change in your personal information (i.e. change of address)
             – Submiting invalid information during the initial sign up process.
             – An inability to accurately verify your selected option of payment due an internal error within
               our processors.

Please update your Amazon profile in order to restore your online access:

Now this can be from Amazon, Ebay, PayPal or even one of your banks. Whatever you do, DO NOT click on that link. If you do you will more likely than not be giving some one all your vital information and you can bet your bottom dollar, they will strip you clean. If you are still worried whether or not it is legit, please first contact the institution involved to find if they actually did send you an email.
