Importance Of Keywords For YouTube

Have you ever wondered about the importance of keywords? I know I have. I’ve come to learn about the importance of keywords early on in my blogging career. Which is why I purchased Market Samurai all those years ago. Just as keywords are essential for people to find your presence online, whether it’s a blog or an online business, they’re just as crucial for YouTube Creators.

Importance Of Keywords For YouTube Creators

importance of keywords

By not using the right keywords, it doesn’t matter how good your videos are, the chance of them getting noticed is slim to none. Add to that the fact that in my opinion, YouTube is biased towards the more prominent Creators; it’s even harder to get noticed by the general YouTube public.

So, what are keywords? They’re the words or string of words (long-tail keywords) that people key into search engines to find what they’re looking for on the net. Or, for the case of this post, the video they’re interested in.

Importance Of Keywords & Why I Chose TubeBuddy

Because I wasn’t getting much traction on YouTube, and because I think YouTube is different enough to warrant a new keyword approach, I decided to purchase TubeBuddy. I even produced a video called Using TubeBuddy To Get More Views In 2020. So, TubeBuddy is a browser extension that gives YouTube Creators access to a sleuth of tools that can be used from within your YouTube channel. Amongst the many tools is their famous keyword research tool. You can see that tool in action in my TubeBuddy video.

It’s because TubeBuddy works from within your YouTube channel that they need permission to see, edit and permanently delete videos. Not that they would ever do that, it’s just that without that permission, a YouTube requirement, creators could not work from within their Channel, which is what makes TubeBuddy so versatile.

Will TubeBuddy Make Your Video Go Viral?

The answer to that is no. My video, Why does a video go viral, explains why I feel this way. Unfortunately, all the popular keywords are being monopolized by hundreds of creators, so it’s pointless targeting those. TubeBuddy helps me to select keywords that are more likely than others to generate traffic to my videos. More traffic than I would get if I didn’t use the right keywords. Some videos will perform better than others but that’s not TubeBuddy’s fault as much as its the failure of the videos subject matter. If you want your video to take off, then you need to research your video’s subject matter. To get views it has to be about a subject that people are interested in and will search for. Otherwise, no matter how good your keyword research tool is. Your video is doomed to fail.

Other Interesting Videos

We all know that I’m trying to build my YouTube Channel. I’ve mentioned it in several posts including my Latest YouTube Update.

If you do decide to start a YouTube Channel, here’s a review Best budget YouTube LED lights video. Something else to keep in mind, to get the best sound quality at a reasonable price, is my Boya BY-M1 Review.

I hope you find this post of some help.

Time Is Running Out Non Mobile Friendly Sites

Google’s deadline on mobile friendly sites is fast approaching. If your site isn’t mobile friendly by April 21st your search engine standing will be penalised. That means even if your site was ranking on the first page of Google you will be sent to the back of the line letting all the mobile friendly sites take your spot.

If your running a blog having a mobile friendly site is as easy as changing your theme. I run all my themes on FlexSqueeze2. I’ve made a couple of videos just to show you how good and mobile friendly FlexSqueeze2 is. The first one shows you what makes FlexSqueeze2 so mobile friendly.

Mobile Friendly FlexSqueeze2

The second video shows how I converted my two websites to FlexSqueeze 2 so that they were mobile friendly.

Converting Old Website To New Mobile Friendly Website

What’s that? You’d love to see the difference between the old and new sites. I’m so glad you asked.

This is what the old site used to look like. I decided to keep it live as it would resolve any 404 errors. Notice how I left a message so people will know of the new site with a link pointing to it.

This is what the new surveys page looks like. I don’t know about you but I reckon it looks heaps better than the old one. Not only that, because it runs on the WordPress platform it’s also a hell of a lot easier to update. I didn’t update the old site because it was too much of a hassle. Not so with the new one. I reckon now I can actually get better search results because of all the new information I can add to it.

The question now is what are you going to do to make your sites mobile friendly? If you do decide to take the FlexSqueeze2 route now would be a good time because there is a special on and you can save $30. Get your FlexSqueeze2 before the special runs out.

TweetScribe Me A Bloggers Dream Come True

I want to talk to you about a new Twitter application that is going to rock your Tweeting world. This is something that all aspiring bloggers will want to get their teeth into. The application was the brain child of Stratos of stratos.me and it is with great pleasure that I bring to you a new WordPress plugin called Tweetscribe Me. I am so impressed with this plugin that I am actually going to make a small donation to the bloke who developed it as I think it is well deserved.

In a nutshell, what the plugin does is it allows you to get DM’d (that’s a Direct Message) via Twitter every time someone that you have subscribed to publishes a new post. Naturally they also get DM’d eveytime you publish a new post. Can you see the potential? I certainly did which is why I was the first one to test out this great plugin.

I know that you are probably thinking that this is the same as Tweet My Blog, but it isn’t as that plugin only sends out a general tweet to your followers, who if are not on line generally never get to see it. Tweetscribe Me will email them directly, DM them or both depending how you set it up. There is no way anyone can miss out on updates from any of the bloggers they have subscribed too. This is so much better than RSS readers as once again you have to physically run your RSS reader just to see what folks have been up to.

So, how do you get into the action? Man I am so glad you asked, because this Aussie blogger is just bustin at the seems to let everyone know how they can get instant tweeting gratification. Man, it’s almost
better than
sex. I did say almost.
:laugh_tb: OK, Just follow the these steps in the order that I’ve presented them. This is very important.

  1. You have to follow twscribe, because if you don’t it won’t work.
  2. Download the Tweetscribe Me plugin and install it to your WordPress Blog.
  3. Activate the plugin and then got to the plugin settings where you fill in your Twitter user name and password and click the save button.
  4. Go to the Tweetscribe Me site and log in, once again with your Twitter details.

That’s all there is to it. Check out the enlisted blogs to find out who else is using the TweetScribe Me and subscribe to those you want to follow. You will be notified when someone subscribes to you and even when they unsubscribe. This is so much
better than
feedburner and the like because you can actually see who is following you. You can even display the amount of people following you by pasting a code into your sidebar. You can see mine on the right sidebar under the ‘Plug This Blog’ heading

At the moment members are few as this is brand spanking new, so we really need to get folks interested in it.  So I am looking for you guys to join up as this is going to revolutionize the way we utilize Twitter. Tell everyone you know about it so that we can really get this going. The more members we have the greater selection of bloggers to choose from.
