Getting The Right Auto Repair Man To Do The Job

Ever since buying my Honda Civic I always went out of my way to take it to the Honda dealership where I originally purchased it, even though it was out of the way and I paid more for a service than I thought was necessary. Now that the warranty had run out I thought I would take it to somewhere more local. I mean one mechanic can do an oil change just as well as another right? And if you live in Houston, not that I live there, it’s just a figure of speech, you may as well take it to a Houston auto repair.  After all, I thinks it better to help out the local businessman whenever you can.

When looking for mechanic you want to make sure he’s able to do the right job on your car. It doesn’t matter if you have a Mercedes or an Acura TL that car means a lot to you and you want to be sure that the guy knows what to do when he get’s under the hood.

One of the most important parts on a car is it’s brakes, because if your brakes aren’t working that car of yours isn’t a vehicle of transportation anymore, it’s a deadly weapon. So the last thing you want to be doing is delaying any brake job that needs to be done. If you can’t afford one right now you should take a bus until you can afford one. It’s senseless to put yourself and others in danger just because you can’t get it done right away.

I remember when I was younger and had very little money, and couldn’t afford a brake job. I was driving a beat up old Toyota Celica and the brakes were pretty much shot. I was stopped in traffic knowing my brakes were worn out. Long story short, even at 5 miles an hour I could not stop my car and crashed into the vehicle in front of me. I thank my lucky stars to this date that I wasn’t going faster. Years later, I finally found a mechanic I could trust and have been taking my cars there ever since.

Shit, that was lucky wasn’t it. I can’t believe you actually drove that car. Oh well, we all make mistakes.
