Yes it’s actually true. Google is offering bloggers and webmaster more ways than just adsense to monetize your sites. If you go to the ‘Google Adsense Setup’ page you will notice some additions. I’ve seen them out of the corner of my eye but I’ve never really taken any notice of them, until the other day.

Some of the new things on offer includes Adsense for your feeds, an improved Adsense for Search and my favorite, Video Units. These are great because they actually add YouTube partners’ video content to your site, and these can actually earn you extra revenue.

I’ve got a section on my WassupBlog that is set up just for video clips but I am just to lazy to look for new clips so that I can keep updating it. The video Units solved my problem in that I choose a whole lot of videos and it updates them automatically for me.

I’ve seen these, and I have to admit that I don’t want to go the RSS feed route at the present time. That just seems somewhat intrusive, if you know what I mean. And I haven’t understood the video part all that well to go with it, though I’m probably on the side of “I’m not doing it” at this juncture. We’ll see if that advanced search feature works or not, though; I’ve yet to earn any money from anyone doing a search.

I tried the RSS route, but I’m not sure if I have configured it properly. The video one doesn’t seem obtrusive at all and I actually like the fact that I don’t have to update videos anymore.
