Every year the Japanese in the name of ‘scientific research’ go out and kill a whole heap of whales. they do this to such an extent that there is great fear that one day these mammals will become extinct. What is really distressing is that the so called research is really a ruse, as the real intention is to sell the flesh of the whale as food.

It seems that the latest whaling fleet is after the protected humpback whales. Along with the southern wright whales, humpbacks have been seen frolicking on our coastline and it is a sight that many Aussies enjoy watching. It would be a shame if we were to lose that just so some people could pig out on a meal that is totally unnecessary.
