It seems that the current economic crisis has almost forced the world to a stand still. Many companies are firing and few companies are taking on extra staff. This means that when they do start taking people on they will be looking for those who have the most experience so that they get more return for their investment. Perhaps now would be the best time to increase your knowledge and expertise in an area that promises high returns.

Project Management is one such area and Saint Joseph’s University have courses that on completion can lead to a Project Management certificate. Those who take the course will learn how to to apply project management principles in order to lead project teams towards successful project completion. There are many types of highly sought after project managers including Engineering Managers, Construction Managers, Management Analysts, Natural Sciences Managers, Computer and Information Systems Managers, Natural Resources Planners and the list goes on. These are highly sought after positions because apart from being a very satisfying job the pay isn’t all that bad either, as median wages can go from $21000 to $111000 depending on the course you select.

There are probably many situations that we are confronted with daily that can, with a bit of imagination, be converting into unique marketing situations. Take for example the following story.

A little old lady was walking down the street dragging two large plastic garbage bags behind her. One of the bags rips, and every once in a while a $20 bill falls out onto the sidewalk. Noticing this, a policeman stops her, and says, “Ma’am, there are $20 bills falling out of your bag.”

“Oh, really? Darn!” said the little old lady. “I’d better go back, and see if I can find them. Thanks for telling me.”

“Well, now, not so fast,” says the cop. “How did you get all that money? “You didn’t steal it, did you?”

“Oh, no”, said the little old lady. “You see, my back yard is right next to the football stadium parking lot. On game days, a lot of fans come and pee through the fence into my flower garden. So, I stand behind the fence with my hedge clippers. Each time some guy sticks his penis through the fence, I say, ‘$20 or off it comes!’.

“Well, that seems only fair” laughs the cop. “OK. Good luck! Oh, by the way, what’s in the other bag?”

“Well, you know”, “not everybody pays”.

When you have a business you want to always make sure that your customers have a good experience whether it be through something they bought or a service you provided. This is important not only because you want them to return, but because you want them to relate their experience with others.

The trouble is that a lot of people get stuck with information overload and though they remember the good service they may not remember where it exactly took place. That is where little promotional reminders like promotional pens etc. come into play. These items are relatively cheap, serve as constant reminders and are worth their weight in gold.
