Easy Affiliate Marketing Steps

Are you looking for easy affiliate marketing steps? Everyone wants to make money online and, most folks will tell you that affiliate marketing is one of the best ways to do it. Instead of creating products and dealing with customers, you can sell other people’s products and services.

How To Start Affiliate Marketing

The questions everyone is asking is, how do you get started? More importantly, how can you start seeing results fast? Neil Patel outlines the following easy affiliate marketing steps in his “The Easiest Way to Get Started With Affiliate Marketing | A Step-by-Step Guide” video. I repurposed that video with Content Gorilla and Grammarly so that you can study the affiliate marketing tactics at your leisure.

Easy Affiliate Marketing Steps One

Your first step is to define your traffic source, which is essential because, without a good traffic source, you won’t make any sales. Remember, traffic means potential customers! You need to know what you’re good at doing. Are you good at SEO? Are you good at paid ads? Are you better at JVs, or joint ventures which is a form of partnerships? Your affiliate marketing will vary depending on your expertise. For example, if you do SEO, you have to pick one niche which also applies to joint ventures and partnerships. In both cases a single niche is essential, and you need to focus all your energy there.

Paid ads, on the other hand, allows you to focus on any niche as long as the payouts are high enough because you have to buy that traffic. Once you figure that out, that’ll help you with the second step.

Second Step Of Affiliate Marketing

In the second step, you need to define your target audience. You need to choose which will be your best niche. That’s not necessarily the niche that has the potential to make you the most money. To explain this point, we will look at two affiliate marketers.

The first chose a niche that he assumes is the most profitable. He gives up after a short time because he doesn’t enjoy what he’s doing and because of that does not put in the time necessary to promote it. When the money doesn’t start rolling in as quickly as he thought he gives up.

The second affiliate marketer chooses a niche that he’s passionate about promoting. He knows a lot about the niche and loves writing content on it. People who read the content can sense his passion and are more likely to buy his product. Which affiliate marketer do you think has the better chance to succeed?

You want to focus your efforts on what you love because what you love is what you’re going to create better content on, better marketing campaigns, better ad traffic. You’ll get more creative. You’ll be the expert.

You’ll also notice that you make a massive increase in revenue when you do something you know versus something you have to learn from scratch. When you’re not knowledgeable about the industry, or you don’t understand a niche, you’re going to make a lot of mistakes. You will waste a lot of time, losing money compared to when you focus on something that you know.

Step Three: Finding Your Affiliate Products

Finally A Way To Really Monetize Your Blog/Website

For years people have been surfing the Net in search for ways to supplement their income. A rare few have made it and so they peddle their wares increasing their fortune by collecting money from all those that are seeking to mimic their efforts Most don’t succeed, partly because they don’t have the drive and partly because conditions today are different from those of years gone by. Then there’s also the scammers who have no idea what they’re talking about but still sell their wares to unsuspecting customers.

I’ve trialled many systems in the search of online profits, some of which worked and others that didn’t. The other day I came across a site which has a huge potential to put money in my pocket and I’m going to share it with you so you will have the same opportunity. The site is called SkimLinks and what’s unique about them is they give me access to over 1800 merchants. These aren’t your no-name insignificant merchants either. Nope, they’re some of the biggest players in the world. I’ve listed just six of them for you so you can see the quality what they have to offer.

  1. Sears.com
  2. ebay
  3. Target
  4. Nordstrom
  5. Canon
  6. Macy’s

As part of the SkimLinks Team you get to offer for sale products from any of their 1800+ merchants. Even better is that by sending people to their stores you have locked in the potential for making a commission from any products they purchase while there.

Let me give you an example. Imagine that you’re walking down the street and you bumped into some bloke and in the ensuing conversation you told them about the great deal you got on a digital camera at Sears. They were so happy with you they shook your hand thanking you for all your help and in doing so you imprinted a code on them. This code told the guys at Sears that you sent them and when they buy something you would get a commission for it. It doesn’t even matter if they bough a huge LCD TV of sound system instead of a camera, you would still get paid. This is Sears’ way of thanking you for sending them to their store.

This is exactly what will happen if you’re a SkimLinks Team member and someone clicks on a link on your blog or website. Take the 6 examples I left above, as well as the on linking to the camera at Sears. Each of those links are normal everyday links that link to the respective sites. There not affiliate links at all. Hover your mouse over them to see what I mean. As soon as someone clicks on them, a cookie is placed in their browser so that the store knows that you sent them there. If they make a purchase you get paid your commission! You can’t get better than that.

If you’ve been looking fo a way to make money online then you should definitely try SkimLinks. They say the way to make money online is have a product for sale. Can you imagine how many products you will have to offer with over 1800 top of the line merchants available at your finger tips?

Leave a comment if you have any questions and I will try my best to give you an answer.

Squidoo And How It Can Help Your Marketing

Finally! After sitting on this damn project for close on two years I have finally published my first, and definitely not my last Squidoo Lens!  I hope that you would take the time to follow that link and rate and fav it for me. If you have a lens and would like me to reciprocate just leave a comment with a link to your lens.

I was highly motivated to complete this lens because I wanted to utilize the marketing potential of Squidoo.? I did a post on WassupBlog called  Necessity The Mother Of Invention And How It Relates To Blogs where I talked about how you find ways of doing something when there is a need to get something done. Those who know me know that I don’t do all that much to market this blog other than to comment on other blogs. That doesn’t mean that I don’t know how to market it, just that I’ve never had the need or desire to do it.

So, what’s changed? It’s all because of the post Quick Update On People Search Money Opportunity, an update on the original How The People Search Craze Could Put Money In Your Pocket post that describes a way of monetizing the a particular facet of the web. The need for knowledge, in particular knowing where a particular person can be found. Apparently 30% of all searches on Google and Yahoo are people search related and that’s a huge market.

I decided to try and get a portion of that market, but to do that I need to expand my marketing skills. I need people to find my site before anyone else’s and I decided that Squidoo was going to be a small part of that plan. The problem was which of the many available landing pages do I direct the traffic to, seeing as they’re all good and each one would possible target a different market.

My solution was to design my own squeeze page landing page, one that would incorporate most of the better links. Thanks to FlexSqueeze and it’s squeeze page facility I now have my own specially designed landing page. Although I will be using this page on the majority of my blogs I will only be using the one on this site as the targeted page.

I’m not sure how many of you have heard of or use Squidoo, but honestly if you haven’t got your own lens yet you could be missing out. If you check out my Squidoo Lens you will notice that I have links linking to several of my posts. If you construct it in such a way it would be a great way to market your blog. Not only will it give your posts extra link juice,  there’s also the extra traffic that it will bring.
