I’m in the process of promoting a blog with Instagram. I’m sure you’ll all agree that driving traffic to a blog, no matter how old it is, isn’t at all easy. Not long ago, I wrote a post about my latest blog

Since that post, I’ve been thinking about how to drive traffic to the blog, and I wanted to do it all for free! That’s when I thought I would give Instagram a go.

What I have learnt through my research, I used the knowledge to produce a video about Instagram and blog promotion.

Choosing The Right Instagram Name

When starting an Instagram account to promote a blog, it seemed smart to ensure they shared the same niche. The closest I could get to was _laugh_out_really_loud, which I thought was still pretty cool. I’m going to make sure that the bulk of the posts will be funny memes that will try to put at the very least a smile on the viewers’ faces.

It makes it super easy to change a page title and meta description for every page directly in the editor of each post, and it keeps itself up to date with current best practice suggestions. There is a paid version, but the free version gets the job done pretty well.

Worst Ever WordPress Plugin

I reckon every WordPress owner has their favourite WordPress plugin. Perhaps the same WordPress owner even has experience with a crappy plugin. But, how many of them have ever had a really crappy plugin? I know I have and this is what this post is all about.

My Worst Ever WordPress Plugin

I have several blogs but my favourite and most popular blog would have to be WassupBlog. Some time ago WassupBlog’s database got corrupted and my backup was absolutely useless. On the plus side, I had a brand new blog which gave me the idea to make a video on what slows down a blog. That video shows how certain things, like plugins, themes and images can slow down a blog. It also shows how I test the speed as I make slight adjustments to WassupBlog by using Google’s very own PageSpeed Insights.
