A Good Online Memorial Site

No-one wants to lose a loved one, but unfortunately sooner or later it happens to all of us. It happened to my family only a couple of weeks ago and as those who have gone through it will tell you, it is a very traumatic time for all. Everyone has their own way to deal with it. I personally wanted to do a tribute to my lovely sister-in-law.

It had to be a personal tribute and one that would last for a very long time and be available for all friends and family to see. I decided the best way to do it was to place a memorial online and so I started to research it using, you guessed it Google.

I can honestly say that none of the ones I came across really appealed to me. The free ones were pretty tacky, most being full of adverts. You can’t blame them either because they have to be able to pay for all their expenses somehow. The paid memorial sites were mainly automated and lacking in design. Being automated they all looked pretty generic as well.

When I couldn’t find anything that I liked I decided there was only one thing for me to do and that was to design my own! I thought about it a lot and looked through all the available domains and settled on alovingmemorial.com. To me A Loving Memorial is the ideal name for such a site because that is exactly what it is, a memorial to our lost loved ones.

A lot went into the blog design, making sure I picked the right colour and images to portray a peaceful and serene setting. The first memorial was a living tribute to Josie Zollo my a very special lady and proudly my sister-on-law.

I believe that giving the site a personal touch rather than having an automated one will be seen as favourable to anyone wanting to leave an online memorial tribute to a lost loved one.

Thanks Roz, I read the article and left a comment. I can see where you’re coming from in your comment. Hopefully having total control of the site I can keep it pristine.
