Yeah I know it is pretty hard trying to improve this blog. I mean it already has the best content on the web lol but I wanted to gif it some new features. Fortunately Wrodpress makes it easy with their plugins. The first plugin I have installed is called PlugIM and it gives the readers the opportunity to vote on individual posts. After the first initial vote all votes are displayed in real time without the reader even having to leave your blog.

The next plugin is called Sociable and this is a social book marking plugin. At the end of each post you will now see the words Share And Enjoy and below that icons to the social bookmarking sites that I wish the readers to see.

The third plugin is WordPress.com Stats that provides you with heaps of stats on your WP blogs, including top posts, referrers, search engine terms used to reach your blog, incoming links and links that people have clicked on.

All in all a pretty productive day.

I really like the plugim plugin. It’s easy to install and great for IM Blogs such as yours.

I haven’t yet tried the wp stats plugin… sounds interesting, I love checking numbers. 😉

Yeah, I love numbers too, especially when they follow the old $ sign…:)

Although I like Blogger, WordPress is more popular with many wonderful plug-ins for more control, both by our readers and ourselves.
In a few days I will be taking the plunge into WordPress, hoping that I don’t drown.
Adding more mayhem to my web2.0 insanity, I just recently found Windows Live Writer, a desktop blog publisher, which totally send ScribeFire to the web1.0 daze.

Thanks, I am going to have a look at Windows Live Writer and let you know what I think. If it’s really good I will write a post with a link to yours.

BTW, I tried to leave a comment but I couldn’t find the link for it DOH!

Ooops slipped on that one, left out the “e” between the “r” and “s”
But, in any case, Windows Live Writer is awesome, making formatting blog posts a relative breeze. As web2.0 is still very new, and to know that we are in the forefront of it all gives me such hope that web2.0 will solve many of this world’s problems. As I see it, WordPress allows many people that prior to its inception on the Internet had to rely on expensive webmasters to spread their ideas, now it is totally free, easy to understand and to implement without the steep learning curve or the cost.

I did give it a shot and it wasn’t bad until I had to edit the post and noticed it put all the formatting codes in there. I think I might stick to using Word and cut and paste it into the blog.
