Why its time for a Luminar 4 and RAW files test! A few weeks ago I did a Luminar 4 Review post. That post linked to my Luminar 1st Impressions video. That video has a couple of comments which YouTube had put in the ‘likey spam’ folder. This is that comment.
well I ‘m sorry I have to post this on your site and many many more of the reviewers of this program because I relay like your tutorials i do not think the reviewers were using raw files the must be using jpeg that are a few bytes just read on the SKYLUM FORUM AND IT SHOULD OPEN YOUR EYES SO PLEASE STOP PROMOTING THIS PROGRAM UNTIL IT IS FIXED ITS JUST NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE AND PROMOTING THIS SOFTWARE WILL AFFECT YOUR FOLLOWING THATS MY OPINION
i do not no how much you are being paid to come out with this bull sh-t THE PROGRAM IS TOTAL CRAP HAVE YOU LOOKED AT THE FORUM THE COMPLAINTS ARE IN THE THOUSANDS I purchased this program and to say its slow is an understatement and the CRASHES are every time it is put under pressure to do something then it crashes and the sliders refuse to work well its working in the background and what does skylum say HAVE YOU CHECKED YOUR GRAPHICS CARD AND YOUR DRIVERS MY PC IS TOP SPECK SAME AS MANY OTHERS WHOM HAVE COMPLAINED I AND OTHERS RUN PREMIERE PRO, DAVINCI RESOLVE, USING 4K FILES AND MY PC WORKS FLAWLESS WITH THE VIDEO EDIT PROGRAMS BUR L4 wants some serious work done
don’t know what kind of pc these reviewers are using but they mist be using images that are a few K/BYTES BECAUSE IF YOU LOAD A RAW FILE IT IS JUST TOTAL CRAP RIGHT I HAVE HAD MY MOAN PLEASE BE WARNED DOWNLOAD THE TRIAL AND SEE FOR YOURSELF ITS JUST CRAP PLAIN AND SIMPLE
AND SKYLUM TECH HAS HAD PLENTY TIME TO COME ON THE COMMUNITY FORM AND EXPLAIN AND BE HONEST BUT THEY ARE NOT RESPONDING TO PEOPLES PROBLEMS, EVEN IF THEY SAID THEY WILL ADDRESS THE PERFORMANCE ISSUE OR THEY ARE WORKING ON A PATCH THAT MAY CALM SOME BUT I WILL GIVE THEM 10 DAYS IF NO PATCH THEN I WANT A REFUND AND THE LAW IS ON MY SIDE SOFTWARE JUST NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE AND MANY THOUSANDS OF PURCHASERS HAVE COMPLAINED EVEN THREATENED LAW SUITS SO THIS LAMINAR 4 SHOULD BE TAKEN OF THE MARKET UNTIL IT IS SORTED
My Raw Files Test Run
I don’t know what that guy had against Luminar 4 but I couldn’t just leave it. I had a feeling it was likely spam, as he left two identical comments so they were copy and pasted. I’m sure he did the same on other videos promoting Luminar 4.
The first thing I did was check the Skylum forum. I certainly did not come across the thousands of comments alluded to by the guy who left that comment.
That’s when I decided the only thing to do was to do a Luminar 4 and RAW files test. So I set my Canon EOS 550D so it would take both a RAW and Jpeg file. I knew I didn’t have the best graphics card. Some of the plugins I purchased for Final Cup Pro wouldn’t run because of my graphics card. So I quit most of the programs I had running in the background. I then rebooted my computer. Then I loaded Luminar 4 and Camtasia so I could record the Luminar 4 And Raw Files test.
Does Luminar 4 Process RAW Images Is Born
Those tests resulted in my Does Luminar 4 Process RAW Files video. I have to admit I was quite surprised how quickly Luminar 4 processed my RAW files. With all the bad rep I expected ar worst for it to freeze. And at best for Luminar 4 to work at a snail’s pace. The video shows that Luminar 4 handles RAW images pretty well.
