Celebrating Halloween

Is celebrating Halloween important to you? As an Aussie, I was surprised when they started celebrating Halloween over here a few years back. As far as I was concerned, it was an American tradition and should stay there.

Still, over the years, celebrating Halloween has grown more and more popular in Australia. No doubt because of the amount of money marketers have pumped into it over the years. Let’s face it, Halloween is just another money-spinner for those promoting Halloween products, whether it be sweets, costumes or Halloween paraphernalia.

I’ve seen one house that must have spent thousands to make sure that their front yard looks like a scary graveyard.

As far as Halloween goes we don’t celebrate it and certainly do not buy heaps of sweets to put into the kids greedy little sticky hands.

Even though I don’t have much to do with Halloween, Halloween provides me with a challenge to add to my Halloween poem repertoire. To date, I have produced four scary Halloween poems. The latest one being my Scary Halloween Ball poem. I love the last one the best because of the special effects I’ve added into the video. I reckon the poem itself is pretty good as well.

Do you like Halloween? If you do, I would love to know what makes Halloween such an enjoyable experience.

This post is about my Randazzo Sicily tour, but first I must apologise for my absence. I haven’t been posting of late because I’ve been holidaying in Italy. I spent two weeks in Sicily and three weeks in Italy. I was brave enough to hire a car in Sicily, and while driving around, I took videos via my Navman Drive Duo 2. Check out my Navman Drive Duo 2.0 Review.

I have to admit; I love the quality of video taken by my Navman. My only issue was not with the Navman itself but with loss footage because I failed to copy videos from the video card to my hard drive. You see, once the Navman runs out of room on the video card it proceeds to write over the information. I thought 128 gigs was enough, but alas I was mistaken.

Still, what footage it did take was exceptional, as you can see in my Randazzo Sicily video. Because I’ve taken so much footage, I’ve decided to make it part of my Aussie Adventures In Italy playlist.

While driving through Sicily, my biggest headache was the narrowness of the roads in the towns. Usually, it wouldn’t be too much of a problem except for the fact that they drive on the wrong side of the road. 😆 As you know, here in Australia we drive on the left. In Italy, they drive on the right. Not only that but the steering wheel is on the left and the gear shift on the right. I should have gotten an automatic. I rectified that when hiring a car in Naples.

I hope you enjoyed my Tour Of Randazzo Sicily. If you did, please give it a thumbs up. You may want to subscribe to my growing YouTube Channel. As you know I’m always looking for new subscribers so why not consider subscribing to my My Bonzer Channel
