My Dream Of An Online Store Finally Realised

Having an online store is something that I have been thinking about for a long time, but it has been sitting on the ‘too hard’ pile because I couldn’t work out exactly how to go about it. The thing is that I knew that if I set one up and had the right products to sell there would be money to be made.

The difference with putting a link on your blog advertising a product and having that same product advertised on your store is that the chances for a sale is greater at your store than on your blog. The reason being that people who are browsing your store are potential buyers where those reading your blogs are just browsing through.

Today I’ve finally realized my dream because I’ve just found out that RegNow has now got an Affiliate Site Builder Tool! This tool allows the affiliate to create a search-friendly affiliate site populated with up to thousands of RegNow products quickly and easily. It was so easy that I was able to setup my store in no time. All I had to do was select my template and then customize it with my logo. I then used their simple drag and drop system to install the content widgets of my choice. Once I was happy with the way the store looked I just downloaded the files to my computer and then uploaded it to Top Software Online, my new online shop.

At the moment the shop is fairly basic and I have a bit of work to do with it when I get the chance. Even though I’ve only got three pages that I’ve configured, including a section for bloggers, the standard set up has already got hundreds of products ready for online sale. I have complete control over what product I sell and the knowledge that my margin from sales can be as high as 70% is a pretty good feeling. I was even able to add Google Adsense to it and later I will use it to promote other affiliates.

The next step is to market it and I reckon I will use the normal methods that I have used to promote my blogs. I think it is also time that I start getting stuck into my Squidoo Lenses, something that I have been meaning to do for a long time now but have been too slack to do anything about it. I remember that John Dillbeck wrote a post on Promoting a CafePress Store On Squidoo, so I feel that would make a good start. It’s times like these when I wish I didn’t already have a full time job so that I can devote all my time on several online enterprises.

Oh, so now you are in the software business, just like me? (well, not just like me but it’s still the software business)

I might have an idea that could help you out (possibly me too).

Let me finish a project I am working on and I’ll contact you with more info.

Well April, you have my attention. Say, I tried to subscribe to you using my feed reader but for some reason it doesn’t work?
